A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is sought for a K-12 school setting in Lacey, WA, on a contract basis for the current school year (CSY). This position offers the opportunity to work directly with pediatric and school-aged populations, providing critical evaluation and therapy services that support student communication development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students with speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs
- Provide therapy sessions targeting specific speech and language goals
- Accurately monitor and document student progress and therapy outcomes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary educational teams to ensure integrated care
- Engage families by educating them about therapy goals and strategies for home support
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Washington
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with pediatric and school-aged populations preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Active license approved by the State Board of Speech-Language Pathology in the state
