This contract position offers the opportunity to provide Speech-Language Pathology services within a dynamic school environment in the Lake Mary, FL area. Over the course of this assignment, you will support students' communication needs, working across multiple schools within Volusia County Public Schools. The position begins immediately and runs through June 5th, 2026.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students, addressing a range of communication disorders
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
  • Provide supervision for Clinical Fellows, supporting their professional development and compliance with licensing requirements
  • Adapt therapy approaches to meet the diverse needs of students in both elementary and middle school settings

Qualifications:

  • Florida license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is required
  • Willingness to supervise Clinical Fellows is preferred
  • For this year’s temporary position, candidates with a Bachelor’s degree willing to work under a temporary teaching certificate (not SLPA license) will be considered
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team-oriented school environment
  • Commitment to student-centered care and evidence-based therapy methods

Schedule and Locations:

  • 4 days per week providing services at Ormond Beach Elementary School (3 days) and Pine Trail Elementary School (1 day)
  • 4 days per week at Silver Sands Middle School in Port Orange, Florida
  • Next school year, the position will transition to a full 5-day schedule
  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
