A Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to support K-12 students in a vibrant school setting located in Lake Wales, Florida. This contract position spans the current school year (CSY) and focuses on delivering targeted speech and language services to enhance student communication skills and academic performance.
Responsibilities:
- Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and individualized treatment for speech, language, and communication disorders in K-12 students.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress, assessments, and therapy plans.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to school-wide communication initiatives.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment for diverse student populations.
Qualifications:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience working within school settings, preferably with K-12 populations.
- Knowledge of school-based speech-language pathology practices and legal requirements.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet individual student needs.
