A dynamic and engaging environment awaits professionals specializing in speech-language pathology within a K-12 setting. Located in Kent, WA, this contract position spans the 2025-26 school year, focusing on providing essential support to students with communication needs.
Location: Kent, WA
Duration: Full-time, on-site for the school year, 37.5 hours per week
Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) candidate
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
- Strong assessment and intervention skills in speech and language disorders
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Familiarity with IEPs and the special education process
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct therapy to students requiring speech and language support
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive student care
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development
