A K-12 school in Lakewood, WA is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive services for students during the current school year (CSY) on a contract basis. This role involves working directly with pediatric and school-aged populations to support their speech and language development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of students presenting with speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Provide targeted therapy sessions to address specific communication goals
- Monitor and accurately document student progress and outcomes
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including educators and healthcare professionals
- Engage family members in the therapeutic process to enhance outcomes
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Washington
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with pediatric and school-aged populations is highly desirable
- Strong communication abilities and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Additional Requirements:
- Active license approved by the State Board of Speech Language Pathology in Washington
- Possession or attainment of a Master’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology
