An opportunity exists for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist with a focus on school settings. This contract position is located in Burnet, TX, and involves working closely with students from elementary to fifth grade within self-contained special education programs.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • Previous experience in a school setting, particularly with K-12 students
  • Ability to supervise a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills
  • Experience working with diverse student populations

Location:

  • Burnet, TX (1 hour North of Austin)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech and language disorders
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students on your caseload
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student needs
  • Supervise and support the SLPA in delivering therapeutic services
  • Manage a shared caseload of 70 students, working as part of a dynamic SLP/SLPA duo
  • Maintain documentation and progress reports for all students receiving services
