A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at a K-12 school in Lewiston, ID, with an immediate start and contract through June 3rd. This role focuses on serving a caseload of 30-40 students, ranging from PreK to age 21, providing vital speech and language therapy services to support communication development across a diverse student population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech and language therapy aligned with students’ IEP goals
- Collaborate with educators, life skills teachers, and families to design and implement effective therapy plans
- Monitor student progress and maintain thorough documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team efforts
- Support Life Skills programs by integrating communication strategies tailored to student needs
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist credential with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Experience in school-based settings, preferably K-12
- Familiarity with life skills instruction and working with diverse learners, including students with developmental delays or disabilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively partner with students, families, and staff
- Ability to manage caseloads ranging from 30-40 students across various age groups
