A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in a K-12 school setting in Lewiston, ME. This contract role is ideal for a licensed SLP holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) who is passionate about supporting speech and language development across all grade levels.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist certification and licensure to practice in Maine
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience providing speech and language therapy services within a K-12 school environment
- Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose speech and language disorders
- Design and deliver evidence-based speech therapy interventions for students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Document services in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in team meetings and communicate regularly with teachers and parents to support student success
