A Speech Language Pathologist is needed for a part-time contract position at an elementary school located in Lockport, IL. This role requires 100 minutes of service per week and will begin as soon as possible, with an assignment end date of June 2, 2026. The position is for the current school year (CSY) and offers guaranteed hours along with pay for both direct and indirect services.
Preferred qualifications include experience with AAC devices and working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The role involves providing speech-language services within the school setting, focusing solely on the contracted service hours with no additional responsibilities such as bus duty or parent pickup. Travel therapists filling this position may be eligible for stipends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language evaluations and provide therapy to students requiring support
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to monitor student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation for all sessions and services
- Provide consultative support as needed to promote student communication goals
Desired Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience in school-based speech therapy settings (SLP - School experience)
- Familiarity with AAC devices and interventions for students with ASD
- Ability to deliver both direct and indirect speech services effectively
