Make a meaningful impact working with young learners as a Speech and Language Pathologist in a supportive school environment. This contract position, located near Long Beach, CA, offers the opportunity to focus your skills on early intervention and supporting students in a Mild Moderate SDC classroom. You’ll spend 2 days each week collaborating with dedicated educators and forming meaningful connections with preschool children, guiding them toward communication success.

Qualifications & Experience Desired:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility
  • Prior experience in a school setting preferred, especially with preschool-aged children
  • Comfort working with students in a special day class (SDC) environment
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy services to preschoolers and students in a Mild Moderate SDC classroom
  • Conduct assessments and screenings to identify students’ needs
  • Develop targeted treatment plans and support IEP implementation
  • Work closely with teachers, families, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive support
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and progress notes in accordance with school policies
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate on student goal setting
