An opportunity is available for a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide specialized services to K-8 students within a school setting. This contract position offers the chance to support pediatric communication development and deliver teletherapy as needed, contributing to student success during the academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide therapy services to students in grades K through 8, addressing a range of speech and language disorders.
- Utilize teletherapy platforms effectively when in-person sessions are not feasible.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance student outcomes.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and professional standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience working in pediatric healthcare, school settings, or teletherapy environments.
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred but not required.
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques according to individual student needs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Position Details:
- Location: Lorain, OH
- Schedule: 7 hours per week, one flexible day per week
- Contract duration: Beginning ASAP through the end of the current school year
- Age Group Served: Kindergarten through 8th grade
