An opportunity is available for a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide specialized services to K-8 students within a school setting. This contract position offers the chance to support pediatric communication development and deliver teletherapy as needed, contributing to student success during the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech-language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide therapy services to students in grades K through 8, addressing a range of speech and language disorders.
  • Utilize teletherapy platforms effectively when in-person sessions are not feasible.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance student outcomes.
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and professional standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Experience working in pediatric healthcare, school settings, or teletherapy environments.
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred but not required.
  • Ability to adapt therapy techniques according to individual student needs.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Position Details:

  • Location: Lorain, OH
  • Schedule: 7 hours per week, one flexible day per week
  • Contract duration: Beginning ASAP through the end of the current school year
  • Age Group Served: Kindergarten through 8th grade
