A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in a K-12 school setting located in Madera, CA. This contract role, with a job duration through the next school year (NSY), offers a 37.5-hour workweek serving a PreK through 7th-grade caseload. The position starts as soon as possible.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations for students from PreK to 7th grade
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support students' communication needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to monitor student progress and adjust interventions
- Maintain accurate documentation of all evaluations, therapy sessions, and communications
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute professional recommendations
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid license or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with children in a school setting, preferably grades PreK-7
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage a caseload independently and efficiently
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet diverse student needs
