Two full-time Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) are needed to support an elementary school setting serving preK through 8th grade students. This contract position begins ASAP or at the start of the January semester and continues through May 22, 2026. The workweek is Monday through Thursday providing direct therapy, with Fridays dedicated to assessments and administrative tasks.

Located in Madison, AL, this role offers a structured schedule starting at 7:45 am CST. Caseloads currently include about 58 students, with 9 at the primary level, and are shared between two SLPs who collaboratively determine how to split therapy responsibilities without direct lead supervision. Para support is available to assist in bringing students to therapy sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to a preK-8 student population.
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) based on student needs.
  • Collaborate with school personnel and utilize PowerSchool for case management and IEP documentation.
  • Implement therapy plans within the scope of state education and special education regulations.
  • Manage a caseload that supports dismissal of students as goals are met to optimize efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in Alabama.
  • Experience in school-based and virtual SLP services.
  • Familiarity with Alabama state education laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in IEP development and case management systems.
  • Ability to collaborate in a split caseload environment with another therapist.
