A full-time, school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in a K-12 setting located in Forest City, North Carolina. The role offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., running through June 2026. This contract position provides the opportunity to deliver both direct and indirect speech-language support to students, fostering communication skills critical to their academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services tailored to students across assigned grade levels.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with student needs.
- Contribute actively to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and participate in IEP meetings.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve communication goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes and service records, in accordance with district and state guidelines.
- Engage in team conferences and professional development activities to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
- Current North Carolina Speech-Language Pathology License or eligibility.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply.
- Prior experience in a school-based setting is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills essential for effective collaboration and student support.
