A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for an elementary school serving grades K-4 in McPherson, KS, for a contract covering the full school year. This role is ideal for a professional focused on providing comprehensive speech and language evaluations, individualized treatment, and collaboration within a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough speech, language, and communication assessments for students referred by educators, parents, or specialists.
- Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals and treatment plans aligned with federal, state, and district guidelines.
- Deliver direct therapy services in individual and small-group formats to support students’ developmental needs.
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and other service providers to embed speech and language goals into daily classroom activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, complete necessary reports, and participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences.
- Support students requiring augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems as needed.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid Kansas Speech-Language Pathologist license and/or appropriate Department of Education certification.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
