A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) role is available for the 2025-2026 school year in Middletown, NY, serving a K-12 public school with a primary focus on elementary grades. This contract position offers the opportunity to work with a caseload of approximately 35 students in one location, providing vital support in speech and language development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough speech and language assessments and develop individualized therapy plans
  • Deliver targeted direct therapy tailored to each student’s unique needs
  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to implement accommodations and modifications
  • Monitor student progress and adapt interventions as needed
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings to help establish student goals
  • Offer guidance and resources to parents and caregivers to foster student success

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Possession of a valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain one
  • Experience working with school-aged children is preferred
  • Strong communication skills alongside a collaborative approach
  • Knowledge of IEP processes and relevant educational laws

Position type: Contract for the 2025-2026 academic year (September through June)
