Job Type Contract

Provide specialized speech-language services within a K-12 Therapeutic Day School setting, supporting students with autism, intellectual disabilities, and social-emotional challenges. This contract position offers a full-time caseload of 20-30 students and emphasizes expertise in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and behavior management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized speech-language therapy aligned with students’ IEP goals.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
  • Utilize AAC techniques and behavioral strategies to enhance communication outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports.
  • Support students during the Extended School Year (ESY) program in summer.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology required.
  • Experience in healthcare, pediatrics, teletherapy, school settings, or clinical fellowship year (CFY) preferred.
  • Background working with populations experiencing autism and intellectual disabilities.
  • AAC and behavioral intervention expertise strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable providing onsite therapy, with potential for virtual services closer to the school year start.

Location:

  • Position based in Naperville, IL, serving a K-12 Therapeutic Day School.

Contract Details:

  • Contract runs from August 12, 2025, through June 5, 2026, with ESY from June 22 to July 17, 2026.
  • Full-time with guaranteed hours.
