Speech-Language Pathologist – New Paltz, NY
Grades: K-12 (Primarily Elementary)
Contract Duration: September 2025 – June 2026

This position offers the opportunity to support a caseload of approximately 35 students, primarily in elementary grades, within a single K-12 school setting. The role focuses on providing comprehensive speech-language services, including assessment, therapy, and collaboration with educators and families to promote student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and develop individualized therapy plans
  • Provide direct, tailored speech-language therapy to meet each student’s needs
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and school staff to implement accommodations and modifications
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary
  • Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to goal setting
  • Offer guidance and resources to parents and caregivers

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain licensure in New York
  • Experience working with school-aged children preferred
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
  • Knowledge of IEP processes and relevant educational laws
