Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current NY state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with children in a school setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with IEP processes and educational legislation
Location: Staten Island, NY
Responsibilities:
- Assess students and develop tailored therapy plans addressing speech, language, and communication needs
- Provide direct therapy services and ensure effective implementation of IEP goals
- Work closely with teachers and staff to recommend accommodations and modifications
- Monitor and document student progress, adapting therapy plans as required
- Actively participate in IEP meetings, contributing to the collaborative goal-setting process
- Offer consultation and resources to parents and caregivers to support students' needs
