A part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to provide specialized support within a K-12 school setting located in Newark, NJ. This role offers an opportunity to work with a preschool caseload and contribute to the communication development of young learners. The position is scheduled for two days a week, with flexible days to accommodate your availability, and will continue from now through the end of the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for preschool students.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each child’s needs.
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services focused on early childhood communication skills.
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to integrate therapy goals within the educational environment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies.
  • Utilize teletherapy methods if required to support students remotely.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathology Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC).
  • Experience working in school-based settings, particularly with preschool-aged children.
  • Familiarity with healthcare and pediatric speech therapy protocols.
  • Comfort and proficiency with teletherapy platforms.
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
