A Speech-Language Pathologist is needed to provide specialized support to K-12 students, primarily in elementary grades, in Newburgh, NY. This contract position runs from September 2025 through June 2026 and involves working full-time during the school year in a single school location.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive speech and language assessments
  • Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans
  • Delivering targeted speech and language therapy to approximately 35 students
  • Collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
  • Monitoring and adjusting interventions based on student outcomes
  • Participating actively in IEP meetings and contributing to goal setting
  • Providing guidance and resources to parents and caregivers to foster communication development

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain licensure in New York
  • Experience working with school-aged children, especially in educational settings
  • Knowledge of IEP processes and special education laws
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
