A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available serving students in grades K-12, primarily at the elementary level with some high school students included. This contract role spans the 2025-2026 school year, from September through June, located in Niagara Falls, NY.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify student needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans focused on student progress
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy tailored to each student’s requirements
- Collaborate with teachers and school personnel to provide appropriate accommodations and modifications
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
- Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to establishing student goals
- Offer guidance and resources to parents and caregivers to support speech and language development
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state license or eligibility to obtain licensure as an SLP
- Experience working with school-aged children, especially in an educational setting, preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with IEP processes and educational regulations
