A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a K-12 school located in Niles, MI, for a contract position lasting through the current school year. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a diverse student population requiring speech and language services within an educational setting.
Key qualifications and skills:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience in school-based speech-language pathology services
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred for early career candidates
- Strong background in pediatrics and educational healthcare settings
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) targeting communication disorders
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech and language assessments for K-12 students
- Designing and delivering evidence-based therapy plans to address speech, language, and communication needs
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintaining accurate documentation of therapy sessions, student progress, and compliance with educational regulations
- Participating in team meetings and professional development as required
This contract position starts ASAP and continues through the end of the current school year. Candidates must be available full-time for the duration of the assignment.
