Located in Norristown, PA, this full-time contract position offers the opportunity to support K-12 students as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the remainder of the current school year, with an anticipated end date of June 16, 2026. The role requires providing direct speech therapy services Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, managing a caseload of approximately 40 students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders. You will collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and implement appropriate interventions tailored to each student’s unique needs. The position emphasizes working with a diverse student population, including those with autism spectrum disorders, emotional disturbances, and intellectual disabilities.
Desired Qualifications:
- PDE Certified Speech Therapist or Speech-Language Pathologist
- PA Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Valid Act 34, Act 151, and Act 114 clearances
- Experience with students with autism, emotional disturbance, and intellectual disabilities preferred
- Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices
- Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse populations
