A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is needed for a school-based contract position in North Little Rock, AR, with initial assignments in England, AR. This role involves providing speech therapy services to students, starting with 4 to 5 hours per week, including both direct and indirect service time. The position offers flexibility with scheduling, primarily during morning hours to accommodate nap times at the facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 2 hours of direct speech therapy services to students.
- Complete 2 hours of indirect work, such as documentation and planning.
- Collaborate with educational staff and families to support student communication goals.
- Deliver services at multiple sites, including England and potentially Jacksonville/North Little Rock as fall placements develop.
- Adapt to increasing service hours, with the possibility of expanding to full-time hours based on demand.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid SLP certification (Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred) or eligibility as an SLPA.
- Experience working in school settings providing speech therapy services.
- Flexibility to work with young children in school/daycare environments.
- Ability to manage a growing caseload efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and school staff.
