Providing speech-language services in an educational setting requires dedication and flexibility. This opportunity involves working part-time with young learners, offering both direct and indirect support to students in need of speech-language pathology services.

Location: North Little Rock, AR, with the possibility of assignments in surrounding areas such as Jacksonville and England, AR.

Position Details:

  • Contract-based role with an initial commitment of 4 to 5 hours per week
  • Typical schedule includes 2 hours of direct student contact and 2 hours of indirect service
  • Morning hours preferred to accommodate student nap times, though some flexibility may be available
  • Potential for growth to increase service hours and responsibilities, possibly leading to full-time placement

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Valid Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology or credentials for Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA)
  • Experience working in school or daycare environments with children
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to manage both direct therapy and indirect tasks
  • Flexibility to work in different locations and accommodate evolving scheduling needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized speech-language therapy services directly to students
  • Conduct assessments and maintain appropriate documentation related to student progress
  • Collaborate with educational staff to support integrated learning goals
  • Adapt therapeutic approaches to meet the developmental and behavioral needs of children
