A dedicated and skilled professional is sought to provide crucial speech and language services within a K-12 school setting. This role involves working directly with students to support their communication needs, ensuring that each child receives the necessary guidance and intervention throughout the academic year.
Location: Oakland, CA
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students’ speech and language needs.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student.
- Provide direct and indirect speech and language services as outlined in IEPs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to promote students' overall development.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and services provided.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Current State License as a Speech Language Pathologist or eligible to obtain licensure.
- Degree in Speech Language Pathology or equivalent.
- Experience in a school-based setting is preferred, though not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
