A full-time or part-time Speech Language Pathologist position is available at an elementary school in Oakland, CA. This contract opportunity runs from ASAP through the end of the school year (EOSY). There are three current openings for qualified professionals to support students with speech and language development needs during the school year.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Valid SLP Certification: CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) or CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year) required
  • Experience working as an SLP in school settings preferred
  • Knowledge of speech and language disorder assessments, interventions, and individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • May consider Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) beginning in December to support caseload

Location:

  • Elementary school setting in Oakland, California

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language evaluations and screenings for students
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to meet student goals
  • Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed
  • Provide direct therapy services and consult with teachers and families
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all district and state regulations regarding special education services
