An opportunity has arisen for a dedicated candidate to support students in a K-12 educational environment. This position is set in Little Falls, NY, and focuses on addressing the speech and language needs of approximately 28 students, primarily within the elementary and high school settings.

Location: Little Falls, NY

Responsibilities:

  • Assess students and develop individualized therapy plans tailored to their speech and language needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services, ensuring a focus on effective communication skills.
  • Collaborate with educators and staff to implement necessary accommodations and modifications in the classroom.
  • Monitor and track student progress, adjusting therapy plans as required.
  • Actively participate in IEP meetings, contributing to goal setting and educational strategies.
  • Offer consultation and resources to parents and caregivers to support student development.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP.
  • Experience working with children, particularly in a school setting.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of IEP processes and educational laws.

This contract position runs from ASAP until the end of the school year, with a schedule that varies between 8 AM - 2:30 PM or 7:30 AM - 3 PM.
