A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a contract position supporting K-12 students in a dynamic school district located in Orlando, FL. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to provide speech and language services across elementary, middle, and high school settings, with a potential for itinerant work in part-time assignments. The contract runs from early January 2025 through late May 2026, with both full-time and part-time schedules available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language pathology services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments, track student progress, and maintain detailed documentation
- Support students in multiple school locations as needed, including elementary, middle, and high schools
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Florida State License in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) through ASHA
- Master’s degree in Speech-Pathology, Communication Science Disorders, or related field
- Ability to work full-time (35 hours/week) or part-time (approximately 25 hours/week), with schedules tailored to school needs
- Experience working with diverse student populations in K-12 educational settings preferred
