A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide specialized services within a K-12 school environment in Oxon Hill, MD. This role is designed for professionals dedicated to supporting students with diverse speech, language, and communication challenges, helping them achieve their academic success and social development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and evaluations.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals tailored to student needs.
- Deliver direct therapy and consultative services to students.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and IEP teams to ensure cohesive support.
Qualifications:
- Active Maryland SLP license.
- Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
- Experience in school or pediatric settings is preferred but not required.
Position Details:
- Contract position for the current school year.
- Full-time or part-time schedules available.
- Work hours: 35 hours per week, with 7-hour days.
- On-site presence required to provide services to students.
- Caseload spans kindergarten through 12th grade.
