A K-12 educational institution in Peyton, CO is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive speech and language services for students spanning kindergarten through 12th grade. This position is a contract role for the current school year.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a valid license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working in school-based settings preferred
- Proficient in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders among children and adolescents
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct individualized assessments to identify student needs
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each student
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation and reports in compliance with school policies
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and Individualized Education Program (IEP) sessions
- Promote communication skills that enhance student academic achievement and social interaction
