A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for the 2024-2025 academic year at a campus located in Lancaster, CA. This full-time, in-person contract position offers the opportunity to work directly with students, with a focus on those with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Candidates should be skilled in pediatric speech therapy and comfortable supporting diverse student needs within an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language evaluations, individualized therapy, and progress monitoring for students
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop effective communication strategies and interventions
- Work primarily with students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, addressing related speech and language challenges
- Maintain detailed documentation and comply with school and state guidelines
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP - CCC)
- Experience or training in pediatric speech-language pathology, particularly in school settings (SLP - School)
- Comfort and competence working with students with Autism
- Familiarity with teletherapy is a plus but this role requires in-person services only
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP - CFY) preferred
- Knowledge or credentialing related to Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) support is advantageous
