Located in Norristown, PA, this role is designed for a dedicated professional eager to make a significant impact in the lives of middle and high school students through targeted speech and language therapy. The position spans the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year, offering a full-time schedule across two locations, just five minutes apart.
In this vital role, you will collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to identify and address communication disorders, ensuring that each student receives the support they need to thrive academically and socially.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to foster a supportive learning environment.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in groups.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting intervention plans as necessary.
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing insights to the multidisciplinary team.
- Offer professional development and guidance to staff on speech and language topics.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid PA state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
- Experience in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals.
