A contract position in Phoenix, AZ is available for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work in an elementary school setting for the upcoming school year. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality speech and language services to pediatric students, supporting their communication development within a collaborative educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students presenting with speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Provide direct therapy sessions targeting speech, language, and communication goals
- Carefully monitor and document student progress and adjust plans as necessary
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including educators and specialists to ensure consistent, coordinated care
- Engage with and educate families to promote their involvement in the therapy process
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Arizona
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with pediatric and/or school-aged populations highly desirable
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment
