Apply NowA part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at a high school location in Plainfield, IL, for the current school year on a contract basis. This role requires working three days per week, focusing on delivering comprehensive speech-language therapy services to students with a range of needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and provide speech-language therapy addressing assistive technology, augmentative communication, social language skills, articulation, voice, oral-motor function, feeding, and receptive and expressive language delays.
- Perform diagnostic and evaluation testing as appropriate.
- Produce clear, comprehensive reports based on student assessments and observations.
- Work comfortably with students aged 2 to 22 with moderate to severe disabilities.
- Develop and maintain Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives.
- Collaborate with parents and colleagues to communicate student progress and identify support areas.
Qualifications:
- Must hold or be eligible for an Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) license and a Professional Educator License (PEL).
- Preferred 1 to 2 years of experience as an SLP.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within a collaborative team environment.
- Adaptability and effective problem-solving skills.
