A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a K-12 school setting in Plainfield, IL, covering the 2025-2026 school year. This contract position offers the opportunity to work with an elementary and junior high caseload across three schools, serving students on the autism spectrum. The role requires school-based SLP experience and a commitment to supporting students' communication needs in a structured educational environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to students ranging from elementary to junior high grades
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students on the autism spectrum
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Manage a caseload distributed across three schools: one in Morris, IL (20 students) and two in Minooka, IL (8 and 7 students respectively)
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and reports in compliance with school policies
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
- Experience working as an SLP in school settings required
- Knowledge and experience serving students with autism spectrum disorder
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple caseloads effectively across different locations
Location:
- Primary work sites include one school in Morris, IL, and two schools in Minooka, IL (all within Grundy County Special Education Cooperative)
