Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Experience working in school settings, particularly with elementary students
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Familiarity with various speech and language disorders
  • Commitment to collaborating with educators, parents, and other health professionals

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language needs
  • Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans based on assessment results
  • Provide direct therapy to students with identified speech and language disorders
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy as needed
  • Participate in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
  • Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology within educational settings
