A bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to serve K-5 students within an independent school district in Mesquite, Texas. This role supports the district’s evaluation team by providing specialized speech and language services to young learners. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, primarily on-site with one day per week remote work dedicated to report writing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language evaluations for students in kindergarten through 5th grade.
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to student support strategies.
  • Utilize district resources such as test kits, computers, and communication tools for assessments and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and timely reports while adhering to district policies.

Qualifications:

  • Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required.
  • Experience working with K-5 student populations preferred.
  • Ability to work itinerantly across multiple campuses within the district.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to manage caseload and documentation.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, culturally responsive speech-language services.

Location and Schedule:

  • Position based in Mesquite, Texas.
  • Up to 30 hours per week.
  • Hybrid work schedule with on-site presence and one remote day per week.
