A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in a K-12 school setting located in Portales, NM. This contract opportunity runs for the full school year and involves providing specialized speech and language services to students spanning kindergarten through 12th grade.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for students presenting with speech and language disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
  • Facilitate therapy sessions focusing on targeted speech and language objectives
  • Carefully track and document ongoing student progress and therapy outcomes

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Current state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in New Mexico
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is preferred
  • Experience working with pediatric and/or school-aged populations is highly desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and family engagement
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating with educators and health professionals

Additional Requirements:

  • Active license approved by the State Board of Speech-Language Pathology in the respective state
  • Master’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology is required
