A certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for two K-12 school campuses in Poteet, TX, to provide specialized speech therapy services during maternity leave coverage. These contract assignments run within the current school year (CSY), with flexible options for in-person service and virtual candidates considered.

At Silos Elementary, therapy services are required from February 1 to April 30. This role includes supervision of an SLP Assistant, preparation and participation in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings, and service delivery to 95+ students. The preference is for an in-person SLP, but virtual candidates will be reviewed.

Potranco Elementary requires support estimated from March 10 through May 30. This position involves providing speech therapy services to about 50 students. SLP Assistant support is available under supervision from the other campus SLP, with part-time assignments also welcome.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language therapy services consistent with CCC standards and appropriate teletherapy protocols if applicable.
  • Supervise SLP Assistants working on campus.
  • Prepare and participate in ARD meetings.
  • Collaborate with educational and therapeutic teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and services provided.

Qualifications:

  • Valid certification in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP - CCC preferred).
  • Experience in school-based speech therapy.
  • Ability to work effectively in diverse educational settings.
  • Willingness to provide in-person services or teletherapy.

  • Poteet, TX (Silos Elementary and Potranco Elementary Schools).
