This opportunity is for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist working within K-12 schools in Punta Gorda, FL. The position offers a contract for the current school year, supporting students from early elementary through high school. This role is ideal for those who hold SLP-CCC or SLP-CF certification and are passionate about making a meaningful impact on students’ communication skills in a school setting.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting evaluations and assessments for students with speech and language needs
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other education professionals to support student progress
  • Documenting therapy sessions and maintaining accurate records
  • Participating in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and providing input on speech-language objectives
  • Potentially supervising SLPAs under your direction, depending on caseload and need

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid Florida state licensure or teacher certification in speech-language pathology
  • SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) or SLP-CF (Clinical Fellowship) credential preferred
  • Experience working in a school setting is highly valued
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, families, and staff

Location: Punta Gorda, Florida
Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with potential part-time availability
Contract Duration: Current School Year (CSY)
