A dynamic opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide specialized support in a K-12 school setting in Renton, WA. This contract role is designed to cover a leave duration, offering the chance to impact children’s communication development across a comprehensive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
  • Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapy tailored to meet the unique needs of pediatric students.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports to ensure compliance and continuity of care.
  • Support students with varying speech and language challenges, including articulation, fluency, voice, and language processing.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
  • Experience working in school settings with pediatric populations.
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with educators, families, and students.
  • Knowledge of current best practices and educational regulations related to SLP services in schools.
  • Ability to manage a caseload efficiently and adapt therapy approaches as needed.
