A full-semester contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support middle school students in Renton, WA. This role focuses on providing specialized speech and language services to help students overcome communication challenges and achieve academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify student needs
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans aligned with educational goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to support student progress
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust services as necessary
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP development and reviews
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP certification with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience working as an SLP in school settings, preferably with middle school-aged students
- Strong knowledge of speech, language, and communication disorders commonly seen in school-aged children
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within an educational environment
- Ability to manage caseloads and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulations
