In this engaging school-based position, you’ll empower young learners to achieve communication milestones alongside dedicated educators. Set within a collaborative educational environment, you’ll provide essential services to CSE and speech improvement students during regular school hours from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, for a total of 32.5 hours each week.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active SLP license and current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
- Knowledge of best practices for supporting diverse learners within a school setting
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to individual or small groups of CSE and speech improvement students
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with school staff and families
- Administer and interpret assessments to determine students’ needs and progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Maintain accurate therapy documentation and progress notes in compliance with school and federal guidelines
- Educate teachers and families on effective communication strategies
