Job Title: Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

Location: Rio Vista, California

Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our team of healthcare professionals. The OTA will work under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists to provide hands-on assistance to patients undergoing rehabilitation. Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by licensed occupational therapists.
  • Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, activities of daily living, and adaptive techniques to promote independence and improve function.
  • Provide guidance and encouragement to patients throughout the rehabilitation process.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech-language pathologists, to ensure coordinated care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment interventions.
  • Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs.
  • Adhere to professional standards and ethical guidelines in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or eligibility for certification.
  • State licensure or eligibility for licensure as an OTA.
