An opportunity exists for a skilled professional in a dynamic educational environment. This contract position is set in Waukegan, IL, within a K-12 school setting, focusing on providing essential speech-language pathology services to students from kindergarten through fifth grade.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a focus on students.
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Active state license and Professional Educator License (PEL) with a special education endorsement in speech-language pathology.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Experience working with diverse student populations and varying needs.
Location:
Waukegan, IL
Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders in approximately 50 students.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students’ overall development.
- Provide direct therapy services and monitor student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of services provided and progress made.
