This unique assignment is ideal for a qualified Listening and Spoken Language Specialist (LSLS Cert. AVT) with expertise in school-based speech-language pathology, audiology, or teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing. The role is part-time, onsite, and centers on meaningful, focused work with one student, allowing you to hone your skills and deepen your impact.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active LSLS Cert. AVT (Listening and Spoken Language Specialist – Certified Auditory-Verbal Therapist)
  • Holds one of the following: SLP (Speech-Language Pathologist), Audiologist, or TDHH (Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing) credential
  • Current state license in primary discipline (California)
  • Experience in school settings strongly preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessment of Auditory Verbal Therapy (AVT) services for continued eligibility
  • Deliver monthly 60-minute AVT sessions to student as determined by assessment
  • Maintain clear documentation and collaborate with school staff
