This position offers an opportunity to provide specialized speech-language pathology services within a K-12 school setting in Sacramento, CA. The role involves managing caseloads of students with speech and language disorders throughout the contract school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for students exhibiting speech and language difficulties
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Lead therapy sessions focused on improving speech and language skills
- Accurately monitor and document progress in student communication abilities
- Work collaboratively with educators, therapists, and other professionals to coordinate care
- Involve families actively in the therapy process through education and communication
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in speech-language pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is preferred
- Experience working with pediatric and/or school-aged populations is highly desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage collaboratively in team settings as well as independently
Licensure:
- Must hold an active state license approved by the State Board of Speech Language Pathology in California
