A temporary speech-language pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available at an elementary school serving grades K-5. This contract position is designed to cover a leave and is expected to last approximately 6-8 weeks. The assignment is based in Owosso, MI, providing a focused environment for delivering specialized support to young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech and language assessments to diagnose communication disorders
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with student needs
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies
• Provide consultative services to support classroom accommodations and modifications

Qualifications:

• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology or current Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) certification
• Experience working within a school setting, preferably at the elementary level
• Strong knowledge of pediatric speech and language development
• Ability to engage and motivate young students through effective therapy techniques
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
