A temporary speech-language pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available at an elementary school serving grades K-5. This contract position is designed to cover a leave and is expected to last approximately 6-8 weeks. The assignment is based in Owosso, MI, providing a focused environment for delivering specialized support to young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to diagnose communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies
- Provide consultative services to support classroom accommodations and modifications
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology or current Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) certification
- Experience working within a school setting, preferably at the elementary level
- Strong knowledge of pediatric speech and language development
- Ability to engage and motivate young students through effective therapy techniques
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
